After months and months of waiting, "Supernatural" season 11 will premiere on The CW on Wednesday, 7 October. Right off the start, we are going to see how the Winchester brothers' blind desire to keep each other alive and recklessness will affect the world this time round.

From opening the gates of hell to almost causing Apocalypse, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jesen Ackles) have some pretty huge accusations stacked up against them, but killing Death (Julian Richings) trumps it all.

In season 10 finale, we saw Sam trying to get the Mark of Cain removed from Dean, and in the process, opening the prison that kept Darkness locked up. In the process of trying to save his brother, Dean also ends up killing Death. But what does that mean?

Can Death really be dead, or is he playing a trick on the Winchesters and the world? If in fact Death is dead, then who will manage the souls? Can one of his followers take over? Regardless, Death is a beloved character from the series, and we would all like to see him back, yielding his Scythe.

Also, locking Darkness back in its prison is going to get new-found importance especially after it starts to grow on Sam, who is begging God to fix everything he has messed up.

Watch out for season 11 premiere of "Supernatural" at 9.00 pm (EST) on Wednesday, 7 October. You can also live stream episode 1 "Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire" via CWTV.

Killing Death has deadly repercussions. Prepare for a Darkness-filled #Supernatural starting Wednesday at 9/8c!
