The Indian Women's Hockey Team will be up for their "Chak De! India" moment on Thursday when they take on neighbouring Sri Lanka in the gold medal match of the South Asian Games 2016 at the Moullana Md Tayabullah Hockey Stadium in Guwahati.

Ranked 13th in the world, the Indian eves absolutely demolished the two other teams in the competition to reach the final. Nepal and Sri Lanka were the other two teams, besides India, to participate in the South Asian Games 2016: Women's Hockey Tournament.

Intent on making a strong statement ahead of the Rio Olympics starting later this year, the Indian Women's Hockey Team, coached by Neil Hawgood, mauled Nepal with an out-of-the-world 24-0 scoreline, while they overpowered Sri Lanka in the next group game with a 12-1 scoreline.

The Lankan eves, meanwhile, got past Nepal with a 15-0 scoreline to become the other team to reach the final of the tournament.

Jaspreet Kaur scored from five penalty corners for India against Sri Lanka on Feb. 8, while Punam Barla and Soundarya Yendala scored four times each for India to record the emphatic scoreline against Nepal.

The terrific Indian trio will be the ones to watch once more in their Gold Medal match against Sri Lanka on Thursday.
