"The Shannara Chronicles" debuted on MTV on Tuesday, 5 January, and has appeased most of its viewers that come after reading Terry Brook's "The Sword of Shannara Trilogy". In the previously aired Episodes 1 and 2, audiences were introduced to Amberle (Poppy Drayton), the Elven princess and the first woman to become the Chosen, and Wil Ohmsford (Austin Buler), the last on the ancient Shannara family bloodline and the keeper of the Elfstones.

The epic two-episode premiere "Chosen" saw Amberle being haunted by the vision of Elves being slaughtered when she touched Ellcrys – the very tree she was chosen to protect. Meanwhile, Wil is drugged by a Rover girl named Eretria (Ivana Baquero), who steals the Elfstones from him. Allanon (Manu Bennet), the 300-year-old Druid finds him and proves to him that there is still magic in their world.

Ellcys is weakening by the minute and it is incapable to holding the demon army captive in the Forbidding realm, allowing Dagda Mor and Changeling to escape. Changeling is one of the most dangerous demons and is capable of taking the shape of anyone. In the premiere we saw it taking Amberle's form and killing all of the Chosen, except for Amberle herself.

Allanon and Wil track down Amberle -- the only remaining Chosen -- to Wing Hove where they all get attacked by Fury, who has also been summoned from the Forbidding. The episode had ended with Fury going after Wil and Amberle, and the upcoming "Fury" will pick up exactly from that point.

It is understood that Allanon suffers an injury during the attack and is taken by the youngsters to the Druid Keep. On the way, however, they get attacked by the Rovers, and have to get separated. While Allanon stays back, Wil and Amberle get captured by Eretria.

In the upcoming episode we will see Wil finally using the powers of the Elfstones that he is in charge of and Amberle entering Ellcrys to prove her loyalty to it. It would be interesting to see both the heroes taking a step towards embracing their destiny in the upcoming episode.

Watch out for Season 1 Episode 3 of "The Shannara Chronicles" at 10 pm (EST) on Tuesday, 12 January. You can also live stream "Fury" via the MTV App and Hulu.
