After recording a draw against defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers in the first Pro Kabaddi League 2015 game at their home turf, the Telugu Titans made some statement in their second match.

The Titans overwhelmed the Bengal Warriors by a 16-point margin to notch five more points and firm their second place position in the table.

Skipper Rahul Chaudhary and all-rounder Deepak Hudda continued to be the star men for the side in the 44-28 win, and the duo are expected to show their class once more as the Titans get set to play Patna Pirates at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad.

The duo notched up a total of 26 points between them – 16 for Chaudhary, and ten for Hudda.

The performances of 18-year-old Sandeep Kandola and Iranian skipper Meraj Sheykh have been instrumental as well this year for the Telugu Titans.

Sukesh Hegde also is a star man for the Titans, and in their previous game against the Pirates this year, in Patna, he was at the fore as they won by a 12-point margin.

The Patna side, meanwhile, will be looking to build on their position in the top four, but a win against a confident Titans side today is tough, as Rakesh Kumar, the Patna skipper said, following the heavy loss in the Patna leg.

"We should learn from this loss because we have 10 matches left to make a comeback and this is not the end. I am working hard every day and so is my team," Rakesh Kumar said following their defeat against the Titans last month.

Following that match, the side from Patna went on to win two consecutive games, against Delhi and Pune respectively, as well as a draw against the Bengal Warriors.

Currently with three wins and three losses, it is expected that the Pirates will give a good fight today, but Telugu Titans look far more the better side. The presence of the home support will also push the Titans to go for another win today.

The match gets underway at 9 pm IST (4:30pm BST).
