Telugu Titans will look to end their home leg of the Pro Kabaddi League 2015 today (Friday) on a high note as they take on rock-bottom side Puneri Paltan in the fourth and last home game this season.

One can only wonder what the score will be at the end of the match after the hosts demolished Patna Pirates 54-32 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad, on Thursday.

The 22-point victory margin is the highest in the lucrative kabaddi league this year so far.

From a score of 11-5 in the fifth minute of the match, the Titans took their lead to to 20-5, 32-9, and by the 21st minute, they were leading 43-31. Iranian skipper Meraj Sheykh - with two four-point super raids - remained the mastermind, gobbling up many points for the home side.

He was ably supported by Deepak Hudda as well as Sukesh Hegde; Ravi Dalal also joined the party in the final moments of the game, picking up nine points from 20 raids.

It gets all too complicated for Puneri Paltan now, as they currently have six losses and just one win. The Hyderabad side had recorded 60 points against the Puneri Paltan in the first season of the Pro Kabaddi last year.

Telugu Titans star raider Rahul Chaudhary was appreciative of the Hyderabad crowd. "While the entire country has been super supportive of us, the city of Hyderabad has shown us a special kind of appreciation and we are delighted with that." 

The Telugu Titans now have 39 points from ten games, and are just a point behind from  leaders U Mumba. 

Commenting on their aggressive playing style, Chaudhary stated that the Titans are slowly on the verge of making to the finals this year, with the team peaking at the right time. 

"Our aggressive approach was splendid. Sometimes it didn't work but more often than not we were too quick. Our intent in an aggressive approach is paying off," said Chaudhary. 

"We truly believe that we can reach the final now with the form that we are in right now. Personally, I too believe that we are kicking into our best form right now, which is a good sign for the team."

Pravin Niwale and Wazir Singh remain the only key men for the Pune side.

The Telugu Titans-Puneri Paltan match gets underway at 9 pm IST (4:30pm BST).
