The official teaser of popular actor Ajith's most-awaited, untitled film (Thala 53) has been released on the eve of his birthday on 1 May.
Directed by Vishnu Vardhan of "Billa" fame, Thala 53 features Arya, Nayanthara and Taapsee Pannu alongside Ajith. The actor has retained his salt and pepper look in this film, after he gained appreciation for his look in "Mankatha". It will be a double treat for Ajith's fans , who are eagerly awaiting the release of his new movie.
While releasing the teaser, the director posted a twitter message saying, "Hey guys here is the link to view the teaser I made for thala 53. Starts at 12:00. For Ajit sir."
"Wishing thala many more happy returns of the day. And the fans a thala day with the teaser. Thank you guys for your support. Love u all," he tweeted.
After the super success of "Billa" in 2007, Ajith has teamed up with Vishnu Vardhan for this new movie. Actress Nayanthara, who played the female lead in "Billa", is once again paired with Ajith. Expectations are riding high on the film, which is on the verge of completion. The rest of the star cast includes Rana Daggubati, Kishore, Atul Kulkarni, Mahesh Manjrekar and Suma Ranganath in significant roles.
"Thala" Ajith was last seen doing a cameo in the Tamil version of "English Vinglish" starring Sridevi. This Vishnu Vardhan film will be Ajith's first release in 2013. Besides this film, the actor will star in yet another untitled film with director "Siruthai" Siva. The actor, who has been donning stylish, urban looks in his last few films, will be seen sporting a rural avatar in Siva's flick.
The first schedule of the film has been completed in Hyderabad. The second schedule is expected to begin this month. Popular south star Tamannah plays the female lead. Once he completes shooting his portions, the actor will take a break from shooting movies to undergo a surgery in October.
