Cleveland Cavaliers did not start their NBA season on the right note, but they did not take much time to get their groove back, which can be understood by their standings -- presently second in the regular season.

So when they travel to Dallas for their game against Mavericks tonight, the Cavs would be eager to put up another clinical performance and take their winning streak to two games after they defeated the Phoenix Suns in a low scoring affair, 79-89 in their last fixture.

But it is not going to be an easy outing against the Mavs, who have been impressive during the season. They have won 41 games and lost 24, but they remain in the sixth position of the competitive Western Conference.

Cavs also enjoy a similar record with 40 wins and 25 losses, but are second in the Eastern Conference, which just shows the competitive nature of the other Conference.

Huge battle is expected for various positions in the West as the gap between the teams are not very huge.

Hence, such games with Cavaliers are going to prove to be an important one for the Mavericks, as it will also help the team up their confidence.

Cavs star, LeBron James will not forget the 2011 NBA finals against the Mavs, where he was criticised for his performance.

"It brings back memories for sure," AP quoted him as saying.

"Memories that I try to forget, that I will probably never be able to forget. But it's built me into who I am today."

So James might be more than eager to come up with a huge game tonight against Mavs. James has been one of the best players with 26 points per game during the season so far with 5.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists.

But other players such as Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving have been equally impressive as well with 16.9 points per game and 21.4 points respectively. This trio of James, Irving and Love have been a thorn for many a teams in the competition.

As for the Dallas Mavericks, their players such as Monta Ellis and Dirk Nowitzki have been great as they managed 19.2 and 17.3 points per game respectively.

Other players such as Chandler Parsons with 15.3 points and Amare Stoudemire with 11.8 points have also contributed well for Dallas to fight for the Playoff spot.
