The filler episodes continue to be aired on "Naruto Shippuden" and many fans remain adamant about not watching the anime until the plot returns to the canon. While it has been confirmed that the canon will return with Episode 451 "Itachi The True Legend – Light and Darkness: Born to Live, Live to Die," two more episodes in "Jiraiya Ninja Scrolls: The Tale of Naruto the Hero" remain.

In the previously aired Episode 448 titled "Comrade," fans saw Sasuke and Orochimaru fighting it out, and the latter finally being killed. Sasuke leaves from the fight vengeful and with the determination to destroy Konoha.

In the promo for the upcoming Episode 449 "The Shinobi Unite," we will see Tsunade revealing to the young ninjas that Orochimaru has been killed and that Sasuke seems to be responsible for it. Naruto is concerned about his friends safety despite everything that has happened between them, but Tsunade confirms that the Uchiha is fine.

However, she warns them that Sasuke is planning on destroying every Shinobi village, an important piece of information, which will hopefully unite the Shinobi against him. After all, if Sasuke is strong enough to kill Orochimaru, he is definitely a threat to be reckoned with.

"The Jiraiya Ninja Scrolls" will end with the next episode, "Rival," which hopefully will pit Naruto and Sasuke against each other. Once that story is tied up, "Naruto Shippuden" can return to the canon, with "Born to Live, Born to Die."

However, the fans will have to wait two more weeks for that, but for those who want to continue watching the filler episodes, can view Episode 449 of "Naruto Shippuden" at 7:30 p.m. (JST) on Thursday, Feb. 18. You can also live stream "The Shinobi Unite" via Crunchyroll, JPplayer and NarutoSpot.
