Gloria (Sofia Vergara) got her American citizenship after a lot of hard-work, and she is going to put it to good use in the upcoming Season 7 Episode 5 of "Modern Family". In the "The Verdict", we will see Gloria joins jury duty, while her husband Jay (Ed O'Neil) spends his time volunteering at Joe's pre-school. Meanwhile, it looks like there is still no update on the Haley and Andy storyline.

"You are a bad American," Glora tells Jay, when he tries to dissuade from doing jury duty. "It is a privilege to serve on a jury, and for the first time, I get to be part of it," she says, but from the looks of it, the judge may not be too appreciative of her enthusiasm. In fact, he thinks her verdict on the case is her crazy way of trying to get out of jury duty.

In Gloria's absence, Jay is forced to spend more time at Joe's school Learnin' Barn, and is not one bit happy about it. But it looks like this episode is all about parents and kids spending time together, because Claire (Julie Bowen) is taking her daughters Haley (Sarah Hyland) and Alex (Ariel Winter) on "Bring Your Daughter to Work Day", and Phil (Ty Burrell) is accompanying Luke (Noa Gould) and Manny's (Rico Rodriguez) class on community service day.

Claire's plan of impressing her daughters will not go well at her father's closet company does not go well when her employees undermine her. Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), on the other hand, will face some disagreement regarding the guest list for a party they are throwing.

Watch out for Season 7 Episode 5 of "Modern Family" at 9.00pm (EST) on Wednesday, 21 October. You can also live stream "The Verdict" via ABC GO!
