Manchester United Legends will take on the Bayern Munich legends at the Old Trafford on Sunday. This star-studded match will be played to raise funds for the United Foundation.

United legends, like Bryan Robson (who is supposed to manage the side today), Paul Scholes, Edwin van der Sar, Phil Neville, Park Ji Sung, Louis Saha, Dwight Yorke and more will feature in tonight's game against the Bayern Munich All Stars at the 'Theatre of Dreams' as it is popularly known.

Bayern Munich All Stars will be led by Mark van Bommel, who will have the likes of Giovane Elber, Dietmar Hamann, Niko Kovac, Matthias Zimmermann, Daniel van Buyten and others in his side. This side will be managed tonight by Paul Breitner.

"Charity is very important and even though the two clubs have rivalry in some ways, it's good to come together for a special occasion like this to raise awareness and funds, and give opportunities to underprivileged kids," he explained. "It's all for a good cause and that's why we all come out of retirement, put our boots on and play in these games," Dwight Yorke had told MUTV earlier.

Edwin van der Sar said in an interview that there is no other place like the 'Old Trafford' and much to his delight he will be seen in action for Manchester United Legends against Bayern Munich Legends on Sunday.

"Old Trafford is just a special place to play football and for me it's the best ground in the world. I think that because of the crowd and the huge respect they have for players, not only United players, but former players too.

"Even when a player produces a great display of quality against United, they recognise it. I was not at the game, but I remember when Cristiano Ronaldo came back with Real Madrid a couple of years ago and the fans embraced him. The supporters are one of a kind.

"I've been back for Soccer Aid and other charity matches three or four times, and every time it feels like I'm coming home. The tempo is perhaps a little bit slower than a couple of years ago, but it's fantastic to play alongside the likes of Jaap Stam and Scholsey. It's a great way to be on the pitch again to see each other and to entertain the crowd," van der Sar told ManUtd.com ahead of the star-studded match on Sunday.

"Club icon Paul Scholes is definitely the one who impressed me most in the Allianz Arena last summer," the Dutchman explains.

"During our active careers, we met a few times on the pitch. I always looked with admiration to his intelligent movement and powerful shooting from long range. Also, his technical skills and accurate passing were remarkable. He is a true legend," Mark van Bommel told ManUtd.com ahead of the match.
