The trailer of "Salt and Pepper"-fame Dileesh Pothan's debut directorial venture "Maheshinte Prathikaram" was released at 12 pm on Tuesday, 12 January. The trailer, released through Manorama Online's YouTube channel, features Fahadh Faasil, Soubin Shahir and Anusree.

The movie looks promising from the 2.25 minute trailer and has already raised the expectations of the audience, as it is the second association of Fahadh and Aashiq Abu (producer) after the commercially hit and critically acclaimed movie "22 Female Kottayam". It is one of the most awaited projects of the year for Fahadh, as 2015 was a dull year for the actor.

In the upcoming movie, Fahadh will be seen as a photographer, who owns a small studio in Idukki. He works as a wedding photographer and an unexpected incident that he witnesses during one of his photography work forms the crux of the movie.

While story and scripting of "Maheshinte Prathikaram" is by Shyam Pushkaran, cinematography is handled by Saiju Khalid and editing is by Saiju Sreedharan. Bijibal has composed the music for the movie.

"Maheshinte Prathikaram", being produced by Aashiq Abu under the banner OPM Dream Mill Cinemas, is scheduled to hit screens on 5 February. Meanwhile, Fahadh's another release "Monsoon Mangoes" will be released on 15 January locking horns with Prithviraj Sukumaran's comedy entertainer "Pavada".
