Dulquer Salmaan and Sai Pallavi-starrer "Kali" has been garnering positive reviews from movie-goers ever since its March 26 release. The makers released the second song of the flick Tuesday, April 5. It features the romantic moments of the lead characters during their college days and initial days of their married life.

The 5-minute song, which begins with the lines "Chillu Ranthal," has been penned by BK Harinarayanan, with music by Gopi Sunder. Job Kurian has lent his voice to the melody, which has been accepted well by the audience. The video song, released on the YouTube channel of the production house Hand Made Films, has gone viral with nearly 90,000 views within 17 hours of its release.

Before the release of the movie, the makers had released the first song "Vaarthinkale," featuring Dulquer and Sai. The 4-minute-34-second video song, sung by Divya S Menon, became one of the most popular Malayalam songs in recent times. It has received more than a million views on YouTube since its March 22 release. Meanwhile, the theatrical trailer of the movie has become the first Malayalam movie trailer to have been viewed more than 2.5 million times.

The Sameer Thahir directorial, which narrates the incidents in the life of the short-tempered Siddharth, has broken the opening-day collection record of Mohanlal's "Loham" and Dulquer's previous blockbuster "Charlie." "Kali" is said to have earned approximately Rs 2.33 crore at the Kerala box office on its release day, and grossed more than Rs 8.02 crore within six days. It has also officially crossed the Rs 1-crore mark in multiplexes in Ernakulam — Dulquer's sixth movie to have crossed this mark.

"Kali" is also doing good business at the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, Brunei box offices. The family thriller is set to hit theatres in the U.K., Ireland and Singapore this week.
