Chennaiyin FC host FC Pune City at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai today in their second home game of this season of the Indian Super League.

The home side have currently not been able to reach the top four following five games in the season so far, and they will be looking to achieving that with a win today. They produced two spectacular wins on the trot, but a loss against NorthEast United FC in their last game halted that winning run.

FC Pune City meanwhile will not be an easy opponent by any means as they are currently second in the table with three wins from four games.

Having a fit team until the end of the season is what Chennaiyin FC is looking forward to, and the franchisee's assistant coach Vivek Nagul has confirmed that all players are available for the game today.

"It is not ideal to get six points from five matches. We need more points. We had a long trip and we are aware of the importance of this game. The players had a good rest and they are now ready. We have studied our opponents and know what to do," said Nagul.

"At the moment all players are fit and available.

"We just wanted to rotate our players. It's a long league and last year we lost Elano and Mendoza to injuries. Now we have worked on the players to play this game. This time we will be playing a team to get all three points," he explained.

For Pune City head coach David Platt, it is all about keeping the momentum and the consistency, and not to be complacent.

"Top of the league does not count for a great deal right now because we are still early in the season. I see there is a parity," Platt said. "There are no favourites whether you are playing home or away. There is parity on the pitch. Back-to-back wins and you will be right back in the league," he added.
