FC Goa take on Kerala Blasters in the match 18 of the Indian Super League at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Thursday, and the away side really have to get their momentum back in the ISL this season with a favourable result in the game.

Kerala Blasters have two defeats on the trot and they presently lie in the sixth position of the table with four points from the same number of matches.

FC Goa, in contrast, lie fourth in the table, with seven points from four games. They come into the game at the backdrop of an away win against NorthEast United FC.

Having said that, Goa manager Zico has explained that their side have still got problems, and there are some areas that need to be worked upon.

"We have created so many scoring opportunities and have missed close chances and I have repeatedly told my boys after the matches not to miss chances as it will prove us costly as it happened against Chennayian FC," said Zico.

"We have injury problem but we have 26 players who are fit and give their best no matter who is injured. Kerala Blasters have played well although they have lost their last two matches but we have to be on guard as they will come hard on us to win," the Brazil legend added.

Marquee player Lucio has still not recovered in time for getting to participate in the game, and apart from him, star midfielder Joffre Mateu Gonzalez and CS Sabeeth also remain unavailable due to injuries.

For Kerala Blasters, being consistent and remaining positive holds the key, and that is what the side's assistant coach Trevor Morgan has asked his men.

"We are playing well but have not been consistent and tomorrow we are looking for a positive result which will help us to get back on the track," the former East Bengal head coach said.

"I know FC Goa is playing on their home ground and backed by crowd support they have the upper hand and also physiological advantage over us having beaten NorthEast United FC to whom we have lost. But we are all well prepared and looking for close contest," Morgan added.
