Chelsea begin their preseason campaign in the International Champions Cup 2015 with a match against MLS heavyweights New York Red Bulls on Wednesday.

The Blues have set their base in Montreal for this North American preseason trip, but they will fly over to New Jersey to face the New York Red Bulls at their home turf.

"We are a very happy group," said a happy-looking Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. "The players feel it. We are a club in peace. We are a club where our future has to be bright."

While Manchester United and Manchester City have been making some big-money moves, Chelsea have been quiet in the summer transfer window, with the biggest news coming in the shape of an exit when Petr Cech signed for Arsenal.

Having a settled squad sometimes is better than freshening things up, and having romped to the title last season, Chelsea certainly don't have too many changes to make to their squad.

"We are ready for everything. I think last year Man United, City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham also had good teams ... very good teams," Chelsea midfielder Matic said. "I think our team was champion and a team that are champions are ready for everything. I think we have enough."

Most of the big-name players, including Eden Hazard, will be on view against the New York Red Bulls, and the Belgian is looking forward to another glorious campaign.

"It's good to be back," Hazard told the club's official website. "I had a great holiday. I went away with my family, and now I'm ready to be on the pitch again and get back to work.

"I can't say I really enjoy training right now because we do a lot of running and work hard, but it's good to be there and work on your fitness a little bit more than during the season when you do a lot of recovery and technical work.

"In America they have big stadiums and the fans come to the games to see a spectacle. They want a show and that suits me. I have to do something for the fans."
