Amid the rising “Halkat” fever, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar on Saturday released the second song “Saaiyaan” of his upcoming film "Heroine".

The new song is written by lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya and is composed by Salim and Sulaiman Merchanct. The vocals were given by Sufi singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who previously lend his voice for superhit songs like “Teri Ore” from “Singh is King”, “O Re Piya” from “Aaja Nach Le”, “Bahara” from “I Hate Love Story”, and “Sajda” from “My Name is Khan”.

The song received over 64,000 views on Sony Music’s YouTube channel within one day of its release.

“Saaiyaan” is a sad song while the previously released first song “Halkat Jawani” has already charmed listeners with its peppy tunes.

By incorporating a slow sad song and a hot dance number, Bhandarkar has tried to create a perfect bled and mix of music for the film.

Moreover, with a strong reality-based storyline, brilliant star cast and crispy bold dialogues, the film is likely to draw audiences in huge numbers to theatres when it releases on Sept 21.

Its first official promo released on July 25 has fetched 3 million hits, while “Halkat Jawani” got over 1 million hits on You Tube.

The reality-inspired film is based on the life of movie stars in today's world of Bollywood, in which Kareena plays the character of an "edgy, bold and aggressive" Bollywood film actress “Mahi Arora”. Lead actors Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda have played the role of an actor and crickter respectively.
