After going off screen for a more than a month, CBS hit drama show "The Good Wife" returns with it's mid-season premiere, Season 7 Episode 11. In the latest episode of the TV series, Peter travels to an extremely important state to make a bid for his presidency but his team of hawkish managers force him take risks that may not pay off.

In Season 7 Episode 11 titled "Iowa", Peter Florrick (Chris Noth) and the rest of his family get on a campaign bus and travel to Iowa. The Iowa caucus is crucial in determining Peter's presence in the preliminaries, and he seems ready to establish himself as a strong candidate, but his manager Ruth asks him to cover the whole state in order to have a strong voter base in Iowa.

However, Eli (Alan Cumming) is against this. He argues that Peter might be labelled desperate, and requests him to campaign in just one city. If Eli thinks he is blessed with power in choreographing Peter's campaign, he is mistaken. The presidential nominee asks Alicia for her perspective and in an obvious rebuttal to Eli, Alicia takes Ruth's (Margo Martindale) side.

The hostility between Eli and Alicia seems to continue. In Season 7 Episode 10, the campaign manager had told Alicia the man she truly loved, Will Gardner (Josh Charles), had left a message that could have overturned her marriage with Peter.

Eli revealed he deleted a text from Will, which stated he loves her and would sacrifice anything to be with her. In a moment of rage, Alicia asked Eli to get out, but was devastated and perhaps introspecting all of her relationships.

It remains to be seen if Alicia finally allows herself to think about her own happiness and leave Peter. In the promo for Season 7 Episode 11, she seems to have given it a thought at the very least. In a moment of rare confidence with Ruth, Alicia (Julianna Margulies) says: "I used to think I knew what life is all about. Now I don't know."

If Alicia does exit, will Peter's extensive tour of Iowa be affected? There doesn't appear to be a plan B.

Season 7 episode 11's synopsis reads:

Tensions run high as the entire Florrick family is crammed into Peter's campaign bus with Eli and Ruth on their way to the Iowa caucuses. Once there, Peter attempts a high-risk political stunt to gain votes for his presidential bid.
