Arsenal have been playing some sublime football in their pre-season fixtures. The Gunners put up an amazing show against Lyon in the Emirates Cup 2015, thrashing them 6-0.

Arsenal will be keen to come up with a similar performance against Wolfsburg, who lost to Villarreal, on Sunday. Olivier Giroud, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alex Iwobi, Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla scored a goal each for Arsenal, as they ripped apart Lyon, who were left helpless on the pitch.

With such performance, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was happy to see a number of his players finding the back of the net.

"It was a good, dynamic, collective performance where we could see that many players scored goals. Overall it's in the continuity of what we did at the end of last season, and we've taken that form into pre-season as well. There's a good team dynamic and we've shown again that we can score goals, which is what everybody expects from us," said Wenger after thrashing Lyon.

Wolfsburg lost against the Spanish side in a tight encounter with the score reading 2-1 and the German club are aware of the tough task against the confident-looking Arsenal side. Wolfsburg did not come up with a bad performance, but they were rather unlucky to go down 2-1.

Wolfsburg have it in them to pose problems for teams like Arsenal. The German side could prove to be a big test so far in their pre-season as they have been rubbing shoulders against Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

Arsene Wenger is fully aware of the fact.

"It will be a similar game again with a team who has good quality, They are one of the top teams in Germany and they are fighting against Bayern, and may even be at the same level. It will be a good test again," added Wenger.

Arsenal have been dominant in their preseason so far, as they won the Asia Barclays Trophy as well. Such performances are warning signs for other teams in the English Premier League, which starts on 8 August.

Despite quality pre-season performances, Wenger is very cautious about making a statement for the EPL title next season.

"Let's be cautious on that front (EPL title). We finished third in the league and won the FA Cup last season. That's a good basis, of course. Our target is to do better. We know that we will put all of our effort in and that it will be very difficult because it will be a big challenge. We just want to focus on our quality," said Wenger.
