Now that "Doctor Who" has wrapped up "The Magician's Apprentice" story-line, episode 3 of series 9 will be focusing on a new one. "Under the Lake" is the first half of a two-part episode, the second of which is "Before the Flood", which will be oddly set a few hundred years before episode 3.

In "Under the Lake", we will see the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) and his Companion (Clara Oswald) trying to save the crew of a shiny black spaceship that is discovered under a lake. The crew is seemingly dying one by one, but only to turn into zombie-like beings. The clock is ticking and the Doctor has to save everyone before it is too late

In a spoiler-free review that Den of Geek has written about "Under the Lake", the episode is described as a back-to-the-basics story. "Under The Lake is old school Doctor Who, using ingredients that we've seen many times before. Yet Toby Whithouse - back on Doctor Who duties for the first time since A Town Called Mercy in 2012 - brings lots of ideas of his own to a really effective episode."

Watch out for season 9 episode 3 of "Doctor Who" at 9.00 pm (EST) on BBC. You can also live stream "Under the Lake" via iPlayer.
