After a two-week break, "Criminal Minds" season 11 returns with episode 9 on 2 December on CBS. The show aired episode 8, titled "Awake", on 18 November, where the BAU team was hunting down an UnSub who tortures his victims using sleep deprivation and the fans saw JJ join back as full-time.
In episode 8, titled "Awake", we saw BAU hunting a serial killer in Phoenix Arizona, who tortures his victims using sleep deprivation. On the other hand, JJ was seen struggling to balance her job and new baby.
Meanwhile, Garcia gets imminent threats from a dark-net group of hitmen, regarding "The Dirty Dozen" as she seem to have got close on her investigation on the identity of these hitmen. Hotch is then seen doing whatever he can to make her feel safe, including having an agent assigned to protect her and having her stay in a safe place that is not her apartment.
This week in episode 9, the BAU will be seen working with the NSA when two undercover DEA agents are murdered and the third one goes missing. The team will investigate the possibility of an underground cyber-drug ring as well. Meanwhile, Hotch is hopeful that working with NSA will bring them closer to finding a group of hitmen targeting The Dirty Dozen.
Plot synopsis for "Internal Affairs" reads: "After two undercover DEA agents are murdered and a third goes missing, the BAU joins the NSA to investigate whether an underground Internet drug syndicate is involved. Also, Hotch hopes the team's work with the NSA brings them closer to finding the Dirty Dozen hitmen ring."
