It's time for some T20 action in the Caribbean islands. Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2016 is here and defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders will take on St Lucia Zouks in the opening match of the tournament at the Queens Park Oval in Trinidad, Port of Spain, on Wednesday.

Zouks had finished in the fifth place in the third season of the CPL. In the first two season, Darren Sammy-led Zouks could only manage to win four out of 14 games and this is one statistics that they will look to change in the fourth edition of CPL.

Zouks have a tough challenge ahead of them in the very first game of the CPL 2016. They will take on one of the best sides of the tournament and on top of that Trinbago Knight Riders were the champions of CPL 2015.

Even if T20 is a game of the youth, but Zouks have a very experienced side. Most of their star players are above 30 years of age. Skipper Sammy, Shane Watson, Michael Hussey, Morne Morkel, Denesh Ramdin and Grant Elliot are all above 30 years, but they are capable of turning any game in their favour with ease, especially Hussey and Watson.

Meanwhile, Trinbago Knight Riders have three of the best players in the shortest format of the international game. Brendon McCullum, Sunil Narine and their skipper Dwayne Bravo will look to light things up in CPL 2016 for the defending champions at the Queens Park Oval in Port of Spain on Wednesday. Young players like Gidron Pope, who was brilliant in the U-19 World Cup in Bangladesh earlier this year, will also be one of the players to watch out for in CPL 2016.
