Barcelona and Atletico Madrid come face to face in the first leg quarterfinal of the Copa Del Rey at the Nou Camp.

Apart from their La Liga defeat to Real Sociedad in their opening fixture of the New Year, Barcelona have been in pretty good form of late, recording four wins in four games in all competitions.

These victories have also been very comprehensive as the Catalan club have managed to score 16 goals in the four fixtures against Elche (0-5), Atletico Madrid (1-3), Elche (0-4) and Deportivo (0-4).

Considering that Barcelona have recently registered a comfortable win over Atletico Madrid in the La Liga, they should be fairly confident ahead of the clash against Diego Simeone's men on Wednesday.

But, Barcelona boss Luis Enrique, despite admitting that it was "emotionally" a "big boost" for them to beat Atletico after six fixtures, insists that this victory will not give them an advantage "on the pitch."

"Having won [our last match] doesn't influence what happens on the pitch, but emotionally it is a big boost for us coming after six games last season without a win against them," said Enrique, according to Yahoo News.

Andres Iniesta also echoed Enrique's thoughts, insisting that Atletico will prove to be formidable opponents on Wednesday.

"It'll be a very tough, intense game against Atletico. They're a strong team. We'll need to do as well as possible and avoid committing errors," the Spain midfielder told Barcelona's official website.

Defender Jordi Alba also gave some similar views ahead of the fixture.

"We're going into the cup game on good form, but not as favourites. It's a home and away game, and it'll be difficult."

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid will also be hoping to beat Barcelona and progress to the semifinals of the competition despite them recently losing to the Catalans.

Apart from them defeat to Barcelona, Atletico have been done pretty well in 2015, winning three out of their last five fixtures.

Their 4-2 (aggregate) victory over Real Madrid in the last round of the Copa De Rey was especially impressive considering the Los Blanocs' run of form this season.

Still, Atletico boss Simeone admits that Barcelona have improved and will be a very formidable opponent on Wednesday.

"We are facing the best version of Barcelona," said Simeone, according to Yahoo news.

"I admire how much they have improved once they lose possession. It's key for them to react quickly to stop counterattacks. I won't guess what the result will be, but I know that each minute will be important."
