Barcelona have already notched one trophy of a possible treble, and the second one will be up for grabs on Saturday when the La Liga champions play Athletic Bilbao in the Copa Del Rey final at the Camp Nou.

Since the scary MSN attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar have struck up a proper understanding, Barcelona have been irresistible going forward, with the famed team able to go on the attack both ways – be that via a possession-based style or on the counter-attack, using the pace of all the three world-class stars.

If Messi, Suarez, who has been deemed fit for action by Barcelona manager Luis Enrique, and Neymar find the kind of form that they did in the Champions League semifinal against Bayern Munich, it could prove to be a long day for Athletic Bilbao.

"It's one of the best games you could possibly play in, for the atmosphere, and because there is a trophy at stake," Enrique was quoted as saying by the club's official website. "Athletic are one of the most difficult sides to play against, they try and take the ball off you and they put you under pressure at all times."

The most dangerous thing that any side can do, however, is underestimate their opponent, or allow a bit of complacency to creep in. Enrique, though, insisted there will be no such worries, despite everything being in Barcelona's favour, including the ground that the Spanish Cup final will be played on.

"We're playing in our own stadium, there are so many things stimulating us and making us stronger. The motivation and hope is extraordinary at the moment," he added. "The players are aware of how difficult finals are and they're not going in feeling arrogant. They know it will be difficult but they feel they can overcome those difficulties.

"We've seen situations over the years where teams play cup finals at home and it's gone the other way, so we won't know [whether it is an advantage]."

Seven days from now, Barcelona will play the biggest game of the season – the Champions League final against Juventus – but they will do well not to get ahead of themselves here. How the Copa Del Rey final pans out could also play a major impact on that cannot-miss final, and the Barca players will be keen to get as much confidence as possible with victory against Bilbao, who finished seventh in La Liga, 39 points behind the champions.

"You have to believe in miracles because they can happen," Bilbao coach Ernesto Valverde said. "We know that our opponents respect us, we respect them. Intense games are good for us and we have to work harder than them.

"Barca are the best positional team in the world and they have added to that a fearsome counter attack."

Team news: Barcelona: Suarez was the only doubt, but Enrique is confident the Uruguayan will be available from the start for the final. "He's fine," Enrique said. "He trained all week and he's available, as is any other player in the squad." It remains to be seen if Xavi Hernandez will play his final game at the Camp Nou from the start.

Athletic Bilbao: Valverde will have to do without the services of Oscar de Marcos and Iker Muniain, but the coach will hope Aritz Aduriz continues his stellar form in front of goal.
