If you still haven't tuned in to "Code Black", then let us tell you that this medical drama on CBS is all about doctors and nurses' fight to save the lives of patients in the country's busiest ER. The last couple of episodes focused on how the first-year residents are trying to cope with their tough-minded residency director Dr Leanne Rorish, but a few may go against her wishes in episode 3, titled "Pre-Existing Conditions".

In episode 2 last week we saw how the first-year residents gossiped about Dr Leanne, but were interrupted by Christa and Pineda, who asked them to drop the topic as Jesse entered the room to talk about their shift.
"We Plug Holes" saw Dr Leanne saving a man's life, while Mario was asked to deal with a hockey player, who refused to believe his diagnosis. He gets into a fight with a patient, but later tells him that she will do anything that the patient wants. On the other hand, Christa had a woman patient with ovary problems. Christa saves her life by persuading other doctors to do the necessary surgery to save the woman's ovary.
The episode also saw Pineda and Angus clashing over a patient who had back pain, but they were both blasted by Leanne for not trusting their instinct. "We Plug Holes" ended with Leanne introducing the man she saved to the other doctors.
This week's episode 3 is expected to be equally dramatic where the doctors will shown working for 36 consecutive hours in code black and are expected to deal with a distraught mother of two sons who were in a devastating car accident.
The promo of "Pre-Existing Conditions" teases that the doctors will take on the case of a convicted murderer, who gets a cardiac arrest. And on the other hand they also have to deal with a patient who has lost the will to live. Meanwhile, Mario and Angus will be seen going against Leanne's wishes of performing an unnecessary surgery.
