Champions Tennis League 2015 started on Monday with Punjab Marshalls defeating Mumbai Tennis Masters 21-19 on the opening day in Mumbai at the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA).

On Tuesday, Mumbai Tennis Masters will be taking on the Raipur Rangers at the MSLTA. So many stars under one roof is something that will get the crowd excited and pumped up at the venue.

Flavia Pennetta will be taking on Alize Cornet in the first game on Tuesday. The reigning US Open champion and the former world no.1 showed her class on Monday when she outplayed Elina Svitolina. Now the Italian will be taking on Cornet who is quite a dangerous opponent. She is the only tennis player other than Justine Henin to beat Serena Williams thrice on one season.

Richard Krajicek will be facing Thomas Muster in the legend's singles. Muster, who has won 41 out 44 titles on clay court, will be a tough opponent for the Dutchman.

In men's singles, Santiago Giraldo will be taking on the Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut. Agut has the typical counter-attacking style of play which will be hard to deal with for the Colombian Giraldo but this match will be the main attraction of the day at the venue.

Ramkumar Ramanathan will partner with Agut to play the men's doubles match against Sriram Balaji and Giraldo.

And last but not the least, Giraldo and Pennetta will come hand-in-hand against Agut and Cornet in the mixed doubles match.

Former world no. 8 Marcos Baghdatis showed his class when he defeated Santiago Giraldo of Mumbai Tennis Masters on Monday in Mumbai.

Richard Krajicek of Mumbai Tennis Masters won against Greg Rusedski of Marshalls. Flavia Pennetta also showed her grace with the racket against Elina Svitolina and won the game with ease.

Mumbai Tennis Masters were leading 2-0 and Punjab Marshalls had to come hard at their opponents. Baghdatis and Svitolina defeated Giraldo and Pennetta in the mixed doubles match and made it 2-1 for the visitors.

In the men's doubles clash, Baghdatis and Saketh Myneni of India beat Giraldo and Sriram Balaji. The ultimate attraction of the day was the match between Baghdatis and Giraldo. Both the players tried really hard but the Baghdatis held their nerves till the end and won the match in a tie-breaker, thereby handing Punjab Marshalls a 21-19 win over Mumbai Tennis Masters.

Mumbai Tennis Masters would want to win their second encounter against Raipur Rangers on Monday. They lost against Punjab Marshalls despite taking a 2-0 lead against the visitors; surely the tennis stars in the Mumbai side would not want to repeat that on Tuesday when they take on Raipur Rangers.
