Norma's house gets broken into in Season 4 episode 5.Facebook/Bates Motel

The latest instalment of "Bates Motel" deals with a problem at Norma's (Vera Farmiga) home. In Season 4 episode 5 titled "Refraction," Norma and Alex Romero (Nestor Campbell) find their house vandalised.

[Spoiler Alert]

In a moment of fear and anger, Norma wonders why someone would break her favourite window. However, on a more serious note, she asks her husband if Bob Paris (Kevin Rahm) is responsible for the attack. When Alex vehemently denies it, she asks him in the promo: "Why? What did you do?"

At this moment, the promo teases a possible confession, instead Alex makes up a lie. He tells her that some people in the drug trade are annoyed at him and destroying the property could be their way of getting back at Alex.

This seems to convince Norma but the promo captures a scene of her with Alex's gun. She seems to have stolen it after luring him into the bedroom. This clichéd move turns very dark as she points it at someone and yells: "You can't destroy my life." Could she be pointing the weapon at Romero's ex, Rebecca?

Meanwhile, Norman (Freddie Highmore) will find life difficult in Pineview. His sessions with Dr. Edwards (Damon Gupton) don't go very well and he tries to escape.

"Bates Motel" Season 4 episode 5 airs 10 p.m. EST Monday, April 11, on A&E. You can live-stream the episode via A&E's website.
