Watch: 5 top-trending YouTube videos in Canada in 2016

This year saw many videos breaking the internet. From Kanye West's NSFW 'fade' video to Drop the Mic v. David Schwimmer and Rebel Wilson, there were so many videos that became popular in 2016. However, either of two videos mentioned earlier did not find a spot in the most watched videos in Canada. The most watched videos list in Canada is out and there is no surprise that the country's unique taste is evident through the compilation.

The video-sharing platform, YouTube, shared five top watched videos of the country and it features the smoking hot Channing Tatum, the talented Adele and Canada's own 'Superwoman' Lilly Singh. Here is the complete list of what Canada watched this year:

Channing Tatum and Beyonce's "Run The World (Girls)" vs Jenna Dewan-Tatum's "Pony" – Spike's Lip Sync Battle: The Lip Sync Battle episode starring power couple Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum was the most-watched video of the year. The episode saw the couple switch roles as Tatum donned the role of the flawless queen of music, Beyonce, and lip-synced to her hit number, Run the world. The episode not only saw him replicate the song, it also had Beyonce join him to set the stage on fire. Battling the performance, Dewan-Tatum recreated Pony, from Tatum's hit movie – Magic Mike XXL. She took the temperatures (and YouTube views) to the roof.

Adele Carpool Karaoke – The Late Late Show with James Corden:

The most popular carpool episode from this year, Adele made the most memorable appearance of the year. From rapping to recreating her popular numbers from her hit albums, the episode showed a never-seen-before avatar of both – Adele and Corden. Who doesn't love drunk stories, especially starring Adele in the lead?

So you want to move to Canada, eh? – The Ellen DeGeneres Show:

A Canadian "representative" walked into The Ellen DeGeneres Show early this year and spoke what every Canadian wanted to say – Leave the f**k out of it," referring to US Elections. Even before Donald Trump's presidency became a reality, it was revealed that Americans have been searching the procedure to move to Canada. Ellen took it upon herself to contact the spokesman for the Real Canadian Bureau of Immigration, who asked that the US to leave Canada out of it, proclaiming, "We are nice but not that nice."

Canadian YouTube sensation Lilly Singh grabbed the attention of the world as she brought Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to shoot one of her (and the world's) memorable videos. The video showcases the rock star asking for advice on starting his YouTube channel. "This is my life's biggest accomplishment of my life," Singh gushes as she expresses her love for Johnson in the video.

Canada's national treasure, Celine Dion walked into The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and won everyone's hearts again. The "My Heart Will Go On" singer played Wheel of musical impressions with Fallon and she nailed the performance. She imitates Cher, Rihanna and Sia proving that she is the queen of the segment.
