Was the story of "Kaththi" meant for Ajith? Was Vijay not the first choice of AR Murugadoss to star in the movie? These are the two questions that have risen in the minds of the audience after a writer named Gopi released a video on YouTube accusing Murugadoss of stealing his story.

The video titled "How AR Murugadoss had stolen "Kaththi" Story From Me - Testimony of Struggling Director Gopi" is doing the rounds, in which he has accused the director of cheating him and stealing his story. The budding writer has said that he met producer Vishwas Sundar and narrated the story to him.

But Vishwas told him that he could not bank roll the movie then. However, a man named Jagan, who was with the producer told Gopi that AR Murugadoss would be the right man to make this project happen. In the next few days, Gopi met the "Thuppakki" director, who was impressed by the storyline and claimed that Ajith would be the perfect man to star in the film.

A year after their conversation, he alleges that AR Murugadoss told him that he was not able to take up the project for some reasons. To Gopi's surprise, he saw the director having muhurat of "Kaththi" in Kolkata with Vijay in dual roles. He met the concerned people, who told him that it was not his story and Murugadoss was going ahead with a different story.

Later, he realised that AR Murugadoss cheated him. So, he approached the court, which dismissed his case. Now, he is going to the High Court seeking justice.

Meanwhile, AR Murugadoss is filing a defamation case against Gopi for spreading false rumours about him and trying to damage his good reputation. Nonetheless, the Vijay and Samantha starrer has continued to do good business at the Box Office.
