Nishtha Sharma has been crowned the winner of The Voice India Kids. The grand finale of the first edition of the children's singing reality show was held on Sunday, October 23. Nishtha, who hails from Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh, walked away with the trophy, a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh as well as a recording contract with Universal Music.

Six finalists — three contestants from Team Neeti (Kavya Limaye, Vishwaprasad and Nishtha), one contestant from Team Shekhar (Shreya Basu), and two contestants from Team Shaan (Pooja Insa and Priyanshi Sharma) – competed against each other for the title. In the final round, Nishtha beat Pooja and Kavya to win the trophy. The runners-up — Pooja and Kavya — were rewarded with Rs10 lakh each.

The show, telecast on &TV channel, was mentored by playback singers Shaan and Neeti Mohan, and music director Shekhar Ravjiani. Nishtha expressed her gratitude to the mentors for motivating her throughout the journey on The Voice India Kids.

"I would sincerely like to thank my coach for mentoring me and guiding me towards victory. Also, my parents who stood by me and encouraged my passion for singing. It is a great platform for singers like me to realise our potential and get an opportunity to be mentored by stalwarts from the industry," she told IANS.

The finale was a grand affair and saw Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma making an appearance to promote their upcoming film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
