Television actress Divyanka Tripathi aka Ishita of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" shocked her fans when she got engaged to her co-actor Vivek Dahiya in January this year. As soon as Divyanka's hush-hush engagement made headlines, the gorgeous actress was flooded with congratulatory messages from her fans on social media.

Now, in an interview with SpotboyE, Vivek has opened up on Divyanka and her previous relationship with Ssharad Malhotra. Interestingly, the hunk said that he has no issues with Divyanka's past.

"It is but natural at our age to have been involved with someone; I have also had my share of link-ups. Also, the fact that she had just one long-term relationship proves her as extremely loyal and sincere-natured. I respect her because she tried her best to make it work," he said.

Talking about how they met each other and their decision to take the relationship to the next level, Vivek said that he was quite nervous about meeting Divyanka. "A common friend asked me to meet Divyanka, as he was sure that I was the right kind of guy for her. I was nervous because I had never met a girl for marriage before. But we soon hit it off and got our folks on board," Vivek said.

The couple, amidst their hectic work schedule, is trying their best to dedicate some time to their relationship. Recently, Divyanka and Vivek mixed work with pleasure while they were in Sri Lanka for an event during Valentine's Day. The actor believes that Divyanka knows how to balance her work and personal life. "Despite working thirty days a month, she still makes it a point to meet me everyday. I sometimes fear she is overexerting herself, but she feels it is important to nurture a budding relationship," he added.

Recently, fans of Divyanka and Vivek (also called DiVek) had demanded the makers of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" to pen a romantic track between the real life couple on the show. However, Dahiya denied the rumours claiming no such track will be introduced on the show. "No. There is nothing like that to happen. I would completely deny it all. No such track is going to be introduced," the actor had earlier told Pink Villa.
