For those of you who don't know, this was also the first place Barack Obama and his family headed to after US President Donald Trump took over.

Cost of the venue:

Though the wedding budget of Virat and Anushka's wedding is undisclosed, the cost of each room in the Tuscany resort per night will give you an idea of how extravagant the ceremony was. Forbes revealed that Borgo Finocchieto is the second-most expensive resort during the international holiday season and charges a whopping Rs 94.9 lakh in entirety per week, translating to Rs 13.5 lakh per night.

Historic element:

Not impressed yet? Well, the history might leave you floored. According to the picturesque venue's website, Borgo Finocchieto is a restored 800-year-old village, or "borgo," that offers some mind-blowing experience.

John Phillips, an American of Italian ancestry and former US Ambassador to Italy, purchased the property in 2001 and spent eight years renovating the historic property.

About the property:

The venue hosts five villas—Finocchieto, Colussi, Filippi, Santa Teresa and Fede—which are designed to suit various needs and preferences. The property is so exclusive that only 44 people can occupy the entire space – thus explaining why the couple invited limited guests for their big day.

Unlike most hotels, Borgo Finocchieto doesn't have the option of "booking" on their website. If you wish to book a stay there, you will have to drop them an email and go about with the booking.
