Real Madrid won the La Liga title after beating Malaga CF 2-0 on Sunday, May 21. Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzeman remained on the scoresheet and the title was snatched with ease from FC Barcelona.

Now, is there a twist in the plot? Was there match fixing involved by any chance?

A video shared by football fans have gone viral on the internet, which shows Malaga defender Mikel Villanueva, cheekily give the ball away to a sprinting Cristiano Ronaldo. The first look at the footage gives you a feeling that either it could be genuine match fixing or 24-year-old Venezuela international Villanueva gave a pathetic example to the kids, learning defending in football.

Disclaimer: We also are not sure if certain frustrated FC Barcelona fans are behind the edited video footage from the match.

While a formal complaint has still not been lodged with Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) over the video, we can't but help getting amused from it.

With Barcelona having won their final La Liga match of the 2016-17 season 4-2 against Eibar, Real needed either a draw or a win to win their record 33rd La Liga title.
