Vin Diesel turns 48 on 18 July, 2015 (Saturday). Best known for the role of Dominic Toretto in the "Fast & Furious" franchise, Vin also has other popular films like "Riddick", "The Pacifier" "XXX" and "Saving Private Ryan" to his credit.

Diesel, who worked as a bouncer at New York clubs when he was 17, has come a long way to become one of the most-loved actors and has a huge fan following.

The actor, screenwriter, producer and director is now busy working on his next much-anticipated project, "Fast & Furious 8", which he has dedicated to his dear friend Paul Walker.

Vin Diesel became popular after playing the role of a villain, Dominic Toretto, in the "Fast & Furious" series, which is now headed for its eighth instalment that is scheduled to release in 2017.

Dom, the street racer, is a very tough guy who loves his family and lives life on the edge. A man who never lets business come in way of his family has impressed fans and left them wanting for more.

On Vin Diesel's birthday, we bring you the best Dominic Toretto's quotes from "Fast & Furious" films.

—The last lines that Dom tells in "Fast & Furious 7" while remembering the time he had with Brian O' Conner.

"I used to say I live my life a quarter mile at a time and I think that's why we were brothers - because you did too. No matter where you are, whether it's a quarter mile away or half way across the world. The most important thing in life will always be the people in this room, right here, right now. Salute mi familia. You'll always be with me. And you'll always be my brother."

— This is how it all began. This is what Dominic tells Brian O'Conner in the very first film.

"Ask any racer. Any real racer. It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning."

— Letty, as we all know is back. But this is what Dom shares with O'Conner when he thought he had lost his girl Letty in "Fast & Furious 6".

"You don't turn your back on your family, even when they do."

— Well, Dom isn't talking about any girl here. This is what he tells Gisele when she question him about his car.

"I'm a boy who appreciates a good body, regardless of the make."

Dom tell this to Brian O'Conner when he narrates the story behind his father's death.

"I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Nothing else matters: not the mortgage, not the store, not my team and all their bullshit. For those ten seconds or less, I'm free."

This is what Dom had to tell Deckard Shaw in Furious 7 when Shaw calls him a friend.

"I don't have friends. I've got family."

— Dom tells this it to Letty when she asks him where they are headed next in Fast Five.

"They say the open road helps you think about where you've been where you're going."

The best line which came from Dom during the climax of "Fast & Furious 4".

"You know this ain't no 10-second race...I've got nothing but time."

— This what Dom had to say when he meets Hobbs for the very first time in Fast Five.

"I don't feel like I'm under arrest."

— The furious Dom tells this to Owen Shaw in "Fast & Furious 6" when Shaw threatens his family's safety.

"Your brother never told you never to threaten a man's family? It's a pretty stupid thing to do. But I'll make it simple for you: I walk away when she walks away."
