Malayalam film "Villali Veeran" starring Dileep and Namitha Pramod in the lead is all set to release on 6 September in 300 screens worldwide. The film is directed by Sudheesh Shankar.

In the Sudheesh Shankar directorial, Dileep will play as Siddharthan, who is a humble vegetable trader from a small village. He shoulders all the responsibilities of his family and is someone who is ready to sacrifice everything for his sisters, who depend on him.

Namitha Pramod will be seen as Dileep's love interest Namratha in the film. They were last seen together in the super hit film "Sound Thoma" (2013).

Meanwhile, the posters of "Villai Verran" are also released, suggesting the film as a mass entertainer and a typical commercial entertainer. The posters of the film are colourful, energetic and have a feel of comedy in it. Dileep is seen in different avatars in each poster. While one poster shows him as a Chinese martial arts expert, the other one shows him dancing in a typical Malayali look.

The posters give the hint that the film is along the lines of his previous films like "Sringaravelan" and "Sound Thoma".

"Villali Veeran" was initially named as "Bhudhettan" but the team later changed it to "Villali Veeran" to avoid any controversy as the title sounded similar to Buddha, which may hurt the sentiments of the Buddhist community.

The film also has a huge star cast of Mythili, Nedumudi Venu, Siddhique, Ganesh Kumar, Kalabhavan Shajon, Lalu Alex, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Saju Kodiyan, Suresh Krishna, Seetha, Vinay Prasad, Geetha Vijayan, Valsala Menon and Neena Kurup in main roles.

"Villali Veeran" is shot in Thodupuzha, Alappuzha, Ernakulum and Pondicherry. The scripting is done by Dinesh Pallath, while the cinematography is handled by Anil Nair.

The music of the film is composed by S. A. Rajkumar and the lyrics are penned by Rafeeq Ahmmed and Murukan Katakada.

Distributed by Ramya Movies, "Villali Veeran" is produced by R. B Choudary under the banner of Super Good Films, which is one of the leading producers in South India.
