Agartala/New Delhi, Oct 24 (ANI): Villages along India-Bangladesh border in Tripura joined personnel of paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday (October 23) to offer special prayers and perform Kali Puja. Goddess Kali is the chief deity worshipped with grandeur by the people of Tripura and in West Bengal on the occasion of Diwali (festival of lights). Residents of bordering villages thronged the temple in Agartala and worshipped Goddess Kali according to the rituals and made assortment of religious offerings to the Hindu goddess. They were delighted to spend the festival along with BSF troops. BSF troops and villagers burnt fire crackers and danced to celebrate the festival that coincides with Diwali.
