The engagement of Vikram's daughter Akshita with Manu Ranjith was held on Sunday, July 10. It was a low-key event, which was attended by the couple's friends and relatives.
Udhayanidhi Stalin, Shankar and many others from the film industry attended the engagement ceremony of Vikram's daughter. It was a traditional event reportedly held at an upscale hotel in Chennai.
As per reports, Akshita and Manu Ranjith have been in love for some time and their relationship has been happily approved by both the families. The buzz is that the date of the couple's marriage has not been fixed yet, but it is reported that they will tie the knot next year. More details on their wedding are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
Manu Ranjit reportedly belongs to the Ranganathan family of CK's Bakery, a fast-growing bakery chain. He is also the grandson of former Tamil Nadu chief minister and DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) patriarch M Karunanidhi.
Vikram's next Release
Vikram is currently busy with his next film "Iru Mugan." It is a bilingual movie simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu (titled as 'Inkokkadu' in Telugu). The shooting of the film has almost been finished and the team is now waiting for the audio launch, which will be out this month.
Harris Jayaraj has composed the music for "Iru Mugan" and it has five songs. "Iru Mugan" is a science fiction movie, written and directed by Anand Shankar and produced by Shibu Thameens of "Puli" fame. Nassar, Thambi Ramaiah, Bala, Satish and others are part of the cast. The film features RD Rajasekhar's cinematography and Bhuvan Srinivasan's editing.
"Iru Mugan" is likely to hit the screens in August.
