"Vikings" will be back on History Channel with season 3 from 19 February onwards and Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) is expected to be the King of Denmark in the series.

As per the official synopsis of the historic drama, Lothbrok will be leading his people to an uncertain fate on the shores of Wessex with the promise of new land from the English, reported IGN.

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether the new king can keep up the promises made by King Ecbert (Linus Roache) to his people in the upcoming season or not.

The synopsis of "Vikings" season 3 also indicates that Lothbrok will be searching for something and will find it in the mythical city of Paris. 

Apart from Fimmel, Clive Standen, Alexander Ludwig and Katheryn Winnick will also reprise their roles in the series.

Meanwhile, Kevin Durand will be playing the role of a mysterious wanderer Harbard, who has a connection with Queen Aslaug, Helga and Siggy.

Lothaire Bluteau will be the Emperor Charles of France, a powerful man who is a bit troubled and complex. Morgane Polanski will portray the role of his daughter Princess Gisla, who is a courageous young woman from the land of France. Ben Robson will be the handsome second-in-command of Lagertha.

"Vikings" season 3 will premiere on Thursday, 19 February, at 10 pm on History Channel.
