Arsenal begin their tour of Scandinavia with a match against Norwegian side Viking FK on Friday. With Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey returning to the squad from holiday, Arsenal come on this trip with a lot more strength.

While Arsene Wenger continues to scour the transfer market in bid to bring in a defender and a forward, Arsenal continue their preparations for the new season, which is just a week away. The Gunners face Liverpool in the Premier League opener, and Wenger will know his team need to be as prepared as they can be to face off against Jurgen Klopp's men.

To do that, two matches are scheduled in the space of 48 hours, against Viking in Norway and then Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in Sweden.

While the glamour match is the Manchester City one on Sunday, Arsenal will want to entertain the Norwegian fans by putting on a show against one of the bigger teams of the country.

"Ramsey will be involved, Sanchez will be involved," Wenger said when speaking about this tour of Scandinavia. "The latest players coming back will not be involved, that's (Mesut) Ozil, (Olivier) Giroud and (Laurent) Koscielny.

Apart from the three Euro 2016 stars, Arsenal will also be without Jack Wilshere on this tour, after the midfielder was not risked. Wilshere picked up a knee problem on the tour of the US and did not play in the win over Chivas de Guadalajara.

Hoping to make more of an impression in preseason, however, will be Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has hit the ground running so far, with Wenger expecting big things from the midfielder. "This is a very important season for Alex," Wenger added. "He was out for a very long time, I'm cautious with him at the moment but he's getting better in every game and that's good to see."
