Ilayathalapathy Vijay's upcoming film "Puli" has created history on YouTube. The trailer of his latest movie has beaten many records, including that of Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and now has crossed the number of 'likes' for "Kick" on YouTube.

Salman Khan's "Kick" trailer on Eros International's official YouTube page got more than one lakh 'likes', a record for any Indian movie. The clip has been viewed 1.91 crore times, the highest number of views for a trailer.  

While the "Puli" trailer is nowhere near the number of hits for "Kick" as it has garnered only 60 lakh views on YouTube, the Tamil video clip has beaten the record for 'likes' for the Salman Khan movie. The Vijay film has got more than 1.02 lakh 'likes' to become the most 'liked' video on YouTube.

However, the Tamil video has been 'disliked' by about 21,000 YouTube viewers; the Salman Khan clip had got 10,300 'dislikes'.

Vijay starrer has also broken the record of Salman Khan's 2015 release "Bajrangi Bhaijaan". The Hindi movie saw two trailers being released simultaneously, of which one was with sub-titles.

The combined 'likes' of the two versions stands at about 64,000 and the videos have been viewed over 89.88 lakh times on its official page, with about 5,500 'dislikes'.

Among Tamil movies, Ajith's "Yennai Arindhaal" is now in the second position. The trailer has got 67,500 'likes' with 48.56 lakh hits. It has got 8800 'dislikes' so far.

Vikram's "I" has settled down for the third place. The trailer has got 53,000 'likes' and 3900 'dislikes' so far. However, it hold for hits at 85 lakh, which is the highest for a Tamil movie and the second among Indian films after "Kick".

Rajinikanth's "Lingaa" garnered 19,000 'likes', 1,900 'dislikes' and 53 lakh hits on its official YouTube page. Vijay's blockbuster "Kaththi" has got close to 32,500 'likes', about 4,000 'dislikes' and 31 lakh hits.
