Ilayathalapathy Vijay's forthcoming movie "Puli" will reach out to a pan-India audience, as it will be released in Hindi also, in addition to Tamil and Telugu.

The success of the magnum opus "Baahubali" seems to have inspired the makers of "Puli" to dub the film in Hindi.

Earlier, the makers had decided to release the film simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.

Apparently, the makers had always wanted to dub "Puli" in Hindi from a business point of view. They wanted to generate additional income from the dubbed version, having spent over Rs 100 crore on the film.

Now, the success of "Baahubali" has boosted their confidence to release the movie in three languages. But this comes with its own risks, as there is always the possibility of a pirated version of the movie hitting the Internet through torrent sites.

Trade experts feel that the success of the Hindi version would mainly depend on who presents the Hindi version. In case of "Baahubali", Karan Johar stood like a pillar of strength as he not only marketed it well but also helped the film to have a wide release.

"Puli" Hindi rights have not been sold yet and the makers are still waiting to sell the rights for a good price. Viacom 18 Motion Pictures has shown interest in the project and there is a strong chance of the production house sealing the deal soon.

Meanwhile, the movie is busy in the post-production stages. Currently, the VFX works are progressing at a brisk pace.

The upcoming movie has been written and directed by Chimbu Deven. Vijay, Kiccha Sudeep, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani and Sridevi Kapoor play important roles.

"Puli" is a fantasty-adventure movie bankrolled by PT Selvakumar and Shibu Thameens. The film will release during the Gandhi Jayanthi weekend.
