The much-awaited audio launch of Vijay-Samantha's "Kaththi" will be released on 18 September.

"Kaththi" music release will be a grand event and will take place at Hotel Leela Palace in Chennai, reported Behindwoods. The film's cast and crew including Vijay, Samantha, director AR Murugadoss, music composer Anirudh and Bollywood actor Neil Nithin Mukesh are likely to be present for the grand audio launch function.

Anirudh is expected to perform live during the music release. The young composer is working for the first time with Vijay and Murugadoss. Expectations are sky high for "Kaththi" album as Anirudh is in top form with back-to-back hit songs in films like "Maan Karate" and "Velai Illa Pattathari."

The composer has been busy finishing the album. One of the songs will be rendered by Vijay and the actor is expected to record his song by this week. Anirudh has revealed that "Kaththi" album has been shaping up well and there are a lot of surprises for the fans.

"Kaththi" shooting is progressing well and it is expected to be wrapped by September end. Currently, "Kaththi" team is shooting some action portions for the film. "Now back to Dishoom Dishoom on the sets of #Kaththi under the super genius direction of @ARMurugadoss," tweeted Neil Nithin Mukesh.

The Bollywood actor is making his Tamil film debut with the Vijay starrer. He will be appearing in the role of a baddie in the action entertainer. Vijay will be playing dual roles in the film, while Samantha plays the female lead. Comedian Sathish of "Ethir Neechal" fame will be doing a supporting role.

"Kaththi" is produced by Ayngaran International along with Lyca Productions. The Murugadoss directorial is slated to hit the screens for Diwali this October.

It will be clashing with Vikram-Shankar's magnum opus, "Ai", which is also scheduled to hit the screens for the festival period. Recently, producer Aasacar Ravichandran confirmed that the romantic thriller will make it to theatres on 22 October. It is going to be a big treat for fans as two biggies are set to lock horns at the box office.
