The audio launch of Vijay's upcoming film "Jilla" is all set to take place in the third week of December, according to entertainment industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai.

Earlier, some reports had suggested that "Jilla" audio launch might happen on 15 December. However, the makers of the Vijay starrer are yet to confirm the exact release date. The audio rights of "Jilla" have been acquired by Star Music, the music label owned by the film's producer RB Chowdary.

Sreedhar tweeted, "#Jilla - Audio in 3rd week of Dec, date yet 2 b firmed up. Audio by Star Music producer RB Chowdary's own music label."

Music composer Imman, who has scored hit numbers in films including "Kumki", "Varuthapadtha Vaalibar Sangam" and "Pandiya Nadu", has worked on the sound tracks for "Jilla." This is the second time the composer has worked in a Vijay film after the 2002-release "Thamizhan."

The music director recently revealed a few details about "Jilla" tracks on his micro-blogging site Twitter. Imman tweeted that "Jilla" has eight tracks including five songs, two karaoke and one theme song.

Legendary singers SP Balasubramaniam and Shankar Mahadevan have crooned the opening song for Vijay and Malayalam actor Mohan Lal in the film. Vijay, who has sung a few songs in his films, has teamed up with singer Shreya Ghosal to sing a melodious track titled "Kandangi Kandangi." The details about the other singers are yet to be known.

Directed by debutant RT Nesan, "Jilla" is reportedly set in a rural backdrop. Besides Vijay and Mohan Lal, the commercial entertainer has Poornima Bhagyaraj, Kajal Aggarwal, Mahat Raghavendra, Sampath Raj, Soori, Brahmanandam, Thambi Ramaiah and Vidyullekha Raman in supporting roles.

"Jilla" is gearing up for Pongal release in January 2014, but the exact release date has not been revealed yet. The Vijay starrer will be clashing with Ajith's "Veeram", which is set to hit the screens on 10 January 2014.
