Vijay is all set to work with director Chimbu Devan of "Imsai Arasan 23m Pulikesi" fame.

It was earlier reported that Vijay will be doing a film for his PR manager PT Selvakumar, who turned director with "Onbadhule Guru". Selvakumar had revealed that he will co-produce the Vijay starrer along with Shibu of Thameen Movies. At that time details about the director and the other cast, crew were not announced.

Now, reports have emerged that Chimbu Devan will be directing the Vijay film which is expected to go on floors after the actor completes AR Murugadoss' film.

"#Simbudevan to direct Ilayathalapathy Vijay's next film 4 producers PT Selvakumar & Shibu of Thameens," tweeted entertainment industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai.

Chimbu Devan is known for making fantasy comedy entertainers. The director's last three films including "Imsai Arasan 23m Pulikesi", "Arai En 305-il Kadavul" and "Irumbukkottai Murattu Singam" won critical acclaim. His upcoming film "Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaniyum", starring Arulnithi, is awaiting release.

On the other hand, Vijay will start shooting for AR Murugadoss film from 3 February. The director is reportedly planning to finish the film on a fast mode. The shooting is expected to be completed in six months and the film is reportedly gearing up for an August release.

Chimbu Devan's film, deemed as an action-fantasy entertainer, will roll by July this year, Sreedhar said. It will be the first time that Vijay will be teaming up with the director. Other details about the film's cast and crew are yet to be announced.

Buzz is also that "Ilaya Thalapathy" (Vijay is fondly referred by this name) has also agreed to do a film with Atlee of "Raja Rani" fame. Apparently, Vijay liked Atlee's script and has decided to work with him. However, there is no official confirmation on this regard.
