It was reported earlier that the makers are planning to release the first look of the movie, which is presently referred to as "Vijay 60," on the actor's birthday. But so far, they have neither confirmed the news nor have they given any hint about it.

But the fans are just waiting for a surprise release of the first look. "Will #Vijay first look from #Vijay60 b released as a surprise Treat??? [sic]," a fan named Priyanka tweeted.

Vijay is turning 42 on Wednesday, June 22. This year, the actor is not celebrating the day with much fanfare as he will be busy shooting for his upcoming movie in Hyderabad. Nonetheless, it has not stopped his fans from celebrating the day.

Like every year, the fans of Vijay have planned to cut cakes, and posters and cut-outs of the actor, wishing him on his special day, can already be spotted in Chennai and Madurai.

Ilayathalapathy's official fan club Vijay Makkal Iyakkam is reportedly conducting blood donation camps and organising charity events on the actor's birthday. Vettri Theatre is organising a special screening of a film starring Vijay. Rakesh Gowthaman, MD of the theatres, tweeted, "Hello VJ Fans, we negotiated with our distributors & made it possible. B'Day Spl screening is on. Mostly it's #Thuppakki or #Pokkiri 6.30pm. [sic]"

Coming back to the actor's latest movie, the unit wrapped up its first schedule in Chennai in May. A song and some action sequences were filmed on Vijay. Now, the major schedule is under way in which Jagapathi Babu, who plays the role of an antagonist, Thambi Ramaiah and others are taking part.
