The regular shooting of his forthcoming movie will be started on May 2, a day after Ajith's next movie, which is presently being referred to as "Thala 57," hits the floors.

The makers of the Vijay-starrer Tamil film have decided to start the shooting with a song. "#Vijay60 - Intro song to be shot from May 2.. The music of "Vijay 60" has been composed by Santhosh Narayanan, who is one of the best upcoming musicians in Kollywood. Praveen KL is the editor of the film while M Sukumar is the cinematographer.

Bharathan, who had earlier written dialogues for Vijay's "Ghilli" and also directed him in "Azhagiya Tamil Magan," has collaborated with the actor for the second time to direct "Vijay 60". The movie is bankrolled by Vijaya Productions.

The film features Keerthy Suresh as the heroine opposite Vijay, and Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu and Daniel Balaji in negative roles. Sathish, Mimi Gopi, Harish Uthaman, Sharath Lohitashwa, Sreeman and YG Mahendra are part of the supporting cast.

The makers of "Vijay 60" want to release the movie on the occasion of Pongal in 2017.
