Karan Patel, who plays the role of Raman on Balaji Telefilms' "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein," often make headlines for the wrong reasons. Be it leaving the shoot mid-way, losing his temper on the crew members or reporting late to shoot, the actor never misses an opportunity to be in news. The latest buzz is that Jeetendra, whose daughter Ekta Kapoor produces the show, paid a surprise visit on the sets last week, but was shocked to realise that the shoot had come to a halt because of the lead actor, who hadn't arrived on the sets in an important shoot day.

The veteran actor was also astonished to learn that Karan never arrives on time and keeps the cast and crew waiting for long hours. Later, Jeetendra reprimanded Karan for his late arrival and asked him to be punctual and value others' time.

"We as a unit are used to Karan's late coming... That day even Jeetendra sir noticed the same and he was stunned to see the lead actor being late on an important shoot day. He even asked some people on the set if this happens on a regular basis and was astonished by the same. Jeetendra sir waited till Karan arrived on the set. He reprimanded him, asked him to value others' time and start being punctual," Indo-Asian News Services (IANS) quoted a source from the production house as saying.

There were also reports earlier that Karan often leaves the shoot mid-way and Divyanka Tripathi, who plays the role of Ishita on the show, has to fill in for his absence so as to not waste time.

Last month, there were rumours that Karan landed in a heated argument with Neeraj Baliyan, the director of the show, when Karan had suggested an idea to the director for a particular shot but the latter responded by asking him not to interfere in his work. The fight intensified and the two were on the verge of hitting each other when the crew members intervened and stopped them.
