Venkatesh-Pawan Kalyan's film, which is a remake of Bollywood flick "Oh My God", is all set to commence in May.

The pre-production work for "Oh My God" remake has already begun. According to an official press release, the film's shooting will kick-off in May and it is scheduled to hit screens on 2 October. The film is a joint production between D. Suresh Babu and Sharrat Marar under the Suresh Productions and Northstar Entertainment banners.

While Venkatesh and Pawan will be appearing in lead roles, details about the other cast and crew members (including the director's name) are yet to be revealed. Buzz is that director Kishore Kumar Pardasani (Dolly) is the front runner to helm the project. However, an official announcement is still awaited on this regard.

It will be the first time that Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan will be teaming up for a film. Venky will be appearing in the role of a lawyer who sues God (played by Paresh Rawal in Hindi version), whereas Pawan will be reprising Akshay Kumar's role as Lord Krishna.

The Venky-Pawan starrer, which is slated to release on 2 October, is expected to clash with Mahesh Babu's "Aagadu" and Ram Charan's Krishna Vamsi film at the box office. According to some reports, "Aagadu" directed by Srinu Vaitla might hit the screens in September (19/26 September). On the other hand, Ram Charan-Krishna Vamsi's family entertainer is expected to release around the same time (26 September- 3 October).

However, an official announcement on the release dates of Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan starrers is still awaited. If these films are confirmed to release during the Dussehra festival period, it will be a big battle of sorts at the box office. However, for the Telugu film lovers it will be a real treat.
