The performance of Ajith's "Vedalam" or "Vedhalam" has slowed down at the international box office.

"Vedalam" had earned Rs 1.74 crore in the six-day first weekend in the US and it could only add about Rs 14 lakh to take its total 13-day business to Rs 1.88 crore by the end of its second weekend. The film had released in 70+ screens and it was reduced to 17 screens last weekend.

Surprisingly, Kamal Haasan's "Thoongaavanam", which has not done better than the Ajith's flick in all most all the centres, has beaten "Vedalam" in the US. After making Rs 2.76 crore in the first weekend, it added another Rs 30 lakh to take its total tally to Rs 3.06 crore by the end of 13 days.

In the UK box office, "Vedalam" has raked in Rs 27 lakh in its second weekend after making Rs 1.36 crore in the opening weekend. The total collection of the movie by the end of 13 days stands at Rs 1.63 crore.

"Vedalam" had made a business of Rs 69.85 lakh from 14 screens in the first weekend and has minted Rs 10+ lakh to take its total tally to Rs 79.03 by the end of second weekend.

The Ajith starrer, which had earned Rs 2.97 crore from 40 screens, has raked in Rs 56 lakh to take its total tally to Rs 3.53 crore by the end of its second weekend in Malaysia.

The collection of "Vedalam" is expected to completely slow down in the coming days. But the film is expected to do well in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, "Vedalam" has done well in Tamil Nadu. The film was affected in Chennai and a few other districts due to heavy rain but the film enjoyed good occupancy in many other centres.
