Ukrainian dancer Val Chmerkovskiy will celebrate his 29th birthday on 24 March, Tuesday. Although the "Dancing With The Stars" stud has never actually won the mirror-ball trophy, he has gotten pretty close many times, especially when he was paired with Disney star Zendaya in season 16.

Val not only shares a record originally set by Mark Ballas of having the most celebrity partners (three) to never individually score less than 8 from any judge, he is also the only professional dancer in "Dancing With The Stars" to go three consecutive seasons without ever scoring less than an eight (16, 17, 18) with Zendaya, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren & Danica McKellar.

Here are some of the best dance performances of the "DWTS" star with some of his best celebrity partners, including Zendaya, Kelly Monaco and Janel Parrish.

  • Zendaya (Season 16; Second place)

Although most of the "Shake it UP" star Zendaya was greatly applauded by judges and fans alike, the "Cha Cha Cha" performance of week 6 could be called the couple's best performance of the season .

  • Kelly Monaco (Season 15; Third place)

Former Playboy playmate Kelly Monaco became Val's first celebrity partner to take him to top-three position in "Dancing With The Stars". Their "Contemporary" performance, especially the raw emotions displayed by Kelly completely swept the judges of their feet earning them a total of 28 points out of 30.

  • Janel Parrish (Season 19; Third place)

The formerly unpopular Mona of "Pretty Little Liars" definitely became an elegant swan under the guidance of Val in the nineteenth season of "Dancing With the Stars". Although the "Quickstep" dance in itself made all the judges proud, it was the kiss at the end of week nine's performance that caught the eye of the fans.

"DWTS" is currently on its twentieth season and Val's partner for the same, is Rumer Willis. At 32 points, the couple earned the highest score in the premiere episode.
