The latest buzz on Anurag Basu's romantic-comedy "Barfi", staring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ileana D'Cruz in lead roles, is that the movie will be remade in Tamil.

In a bid to maximise the success of "Barfi," the UTV Motion Picture, is reportedly planning to remake the film in South Indian languages, following the Tamil remake of Aamir Khan produced film, "Delhi Belly".

"Barfi," has been chosen as India's official entry for Oscar awards 2013, besides eliciting much appreciation from film critics.

Basu's latest offering is also going strong at the Bollywood box office, and is unfazed by Madhur Bhandarkar's "Heroine". The film has racked up a striking ₹687 million in its second week and is expected to maintain the upscale business in the preceding weeks as well.

UTV produced "Settai" is a Tamil remake of "Delhi Belly". The film features Arya, Premgi, Santhaanam, Anjali and Hansika in the pivotal roles and is currently in the filming progress.

Directed by R. Kannan, "Settai" will be filmed in parts of Chennai and Mumbai. The songs of the film will be shot in Switzerland. The first teaser of "Settai" was released with Mysskin's ambitious superhero film, "Mugamoodi".

"Delhi Belly" was a super-hit Hindi film of 2011. The movie was directed by Abhinay Deo and had Imran Khan, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Vir Das, Poorna Jagannathan and Shenaz Treasurywala in the lead roles.

Since its release "Delhi Belly," was sucked in the whirlpool of controversies given that the movie deals with black comedy. The film attracted several protests and even a complaint was moved in a court for allegedly containing offensive content and dialogue.
